Why start your new Austin life together in debt? Why spent thousands on a 6-hour event, when you can use the money to achieve financial freedom?
Capital Budget Strategies, LLC in Austin, known as Austin’s best financial advisor and money coach, spoke with the owner of Urban Bartenders, LLC of Austin. They have provided bartenders to over 300 Austin weddings and events.
Urban Bartenders, LLC noticed how much money newlyweds were spending on their weddings and receptions. While it may be the “happiest day of your life,” it certainly does not have to be the most expensive!
Full disclosure, the owner of Capital Budget Strategies, LLC and his wife spent less than $100 on their wedding. The costs included a marriage license, courthouse fees, lunch and a day pass to their favorite swimming hole. No debt, no stress, no frantic discussions between in-laws. And it was the best day of their lives!
Capital Budget Strategies, LLC offers the MONEY MAP service for Austin newlyweds. For only $149, we will help you combine your finances, build a budget, create and fund an emergency fund, set up a debt repayment plan and help you start saving.
Meeting with Austin’s best financial advisor and money coach makes a great Austin wedding gift! (And for only $149 – it is not too expensive!)
Urban Bartenders, LLC offered this tips on saving money on your Austin wedding:
1. The bar is very expensive because you are buying drinks for lots of people, some you may even know. A great idea is to have just beer (three types in bottles) and wine. Believe me, no one will complain.
2. No need for everyone to have champagne for the toast. Many Austin couples simply share one bottle themselves and the guests toast with what they are drinking. (To be honest, most people do not like champagne and only take a sip or two).
3. Sit down dinners are expensive so why not have a buffet? People get what they want and as much as they want.
4. Hold your Austin wedding in an “off” month. Many Austin couples plan their event in December, and love the idea of an outdoor June or July wedding. Believe me, outdoor summer weddings in the Austin heat can be unbearable because of the heat. Suit and tie? Dancing? Sorry, no way!
5. Austin DJs can cost up to $1,000. Why not record your favorite tunes and play your own soundtrack? You save the money and have the music to use on future road trips!
6. Careful on the honeymoon. Rather than spent $10,000 on a trip to Hawaii, use that money to build an emergency fund or start a house down payment account.
Remember, your family and friends are there to celebrate your wedding, they will forget what you served at the bar, what you served for dinner or the DJ’s name.
